Drone data in.
As-applied maps out.
Build as-applied maps ready for John Deere Operations Center from any spray or spreader drone's flight data, or from just a field boundary. Spraying, seeding, and granular spreading are all supported. Nothing you upload is ever saved.
1 How Do You Want to Build It?
From DJI Flight Data Most accurate
You flew with a DJI Agras and have the task report (.xlsx) and the flight KMLs. Your maps are built from what the drone actually logged: real coverage shapes and rates, flight by flight.
What you get: flown coverage plus measured per-flight rates from the drone's own report. The most accurate option.
From Flight Tracks Any brand
XAG, Hylio, EA Vision, Talos, CeresAir, Revolution, or anything else that can export its flown path as KML/KMZ. Tracks become real flown coverage; you enter the rate, product, and date.
What you get: true flown coverage (an as-covered shape) with the rate you report attached.
From a Field Boundary
No flight logs? Upload the field boundary and enter the application details: product, rate, swath width, and direction of travel. Coverage is simulated as passes across the boundary at one uniform rate.
What you get: a reported-application record with no flight data. For blanket applications only.
Either way you get the same result: one-click send straight into John Deere Operations Center (the only way Deere displays these maps), plus a downloadable bundle (ISOXML work data + shapefiles) for records and other platforms.
Straight Talk: As-Applied vs. As-Covered
Not every map called "as-applied" is the same thing, and we won't pretend otherwise. Here's exactly what each option produces:
- From DJI flight data: the closest to a true as-applied map that DJI's exports allow. The shape is where the drone actually sprayed, and every flight carries its real measured rate (total applied ÷ sprayed acres, logged by the drone). What it isn't: second-by-second flow data. DJI doesn't include that in its exports, so rate variation shows flight by flight, not within a single flight.
- From flight tracks: a true as-covered map. The shape is what was actually flown, skips and all, but track files carry no flow data, so the rate attached is the one you report, spread uniformly.
- From a field boundary: a reported-application record. The boundary is painted at the rate you enter, with no flight data behind it. Use it only when the whole field truly got a blanket rate.
Every map sent to Ops Center states which kind it is in its description, so your records stay defensible.
What Happens Next
- Upload your files and enter what was applied.
- Check the maps. You'll see a preview of every field before anything is exported.
- Download or send. Grab the zip, or push the maps straight onto your fields in Operations Center.
Common Questions
- Can I upload a shapefile or ISOXML file to John Deere Operations Center to get a drone as-applied map?
- Not for drone data. Ops Center files uploaded ISOXML under Setup Files and treats bare shapefiles as prescriptions, so neither draws an as-applied map. This tool pushes maps through John Deere's own API with the Send to John Deere button, which is the only path that displays. Sent maps appear under the field's Map Layers and in Field Analyzer.
- Which spray and spreader drones does it work with?
- DJI Agras (T10 through T50 and newer) using the task report and flight KMLs exported from DJI SmartFarm, and any other brand (XAG, Hylio, EA Vision, Talos, CeresAir, Revolution, and more) whose ground station exports the flown path as KML or KMZ. With no flight logs at all you can still build a map from the field boundary. Spraying, seeding, and granular spreading are all supported, in gal/ac or lb/ac.
- Is this a true as-applied map?
- From DJI flight data it is the closest DJI's exports allow: real flown coverage with each flight's measured rate (total applied divided by acres). DJI does not export second-by-second flow data, so rate variation shows flight by flight. From flight tracks you get true flown coverage with the rate you report; from a boundary you get a reported application record. The site and every map's description say which.
- Does it cost anything, and is my data stored?
- It is free. Files are processed in memory only, never written to disk, and deleted automatically 30 minutes after upload or the moment you click Delete my files. Nothing is kept.
- Does the download work with Case IH AFS Connect or other platforms?
- The zip holds ISOXML work data (ISO 11783 TASKDATA) and WGS84 shapefiles for platforms that accept those formats and for your own records. John Deere is the exception: it needs the direct connection.
About AcreWatch
This free tool is built and maintained by AcreWatch, a veteran-owned drone spraying and aerial intelligence company in Ohio (formerly Midwest Drones). We built it because our own customers kept asking for as-applied maps in Ops Center. If you need a field sprayed, seeded, or mapped, visit acrewatch.com.
